Join us in The Nook for the next installment of Frank’s Bread Academy, where local bread expert Frank Petrarca will guide guests through the art of crafting authentic Chicago-style thin crust pizza.
Sometimes called “tavern style” by Chicago natives, this crispy, cracker-thin pizza is beloved for its perfectly crisp crust and classic square-cut slices. In this live demonstration, Frank will walk guests through every step of the process-from mixing and developing the dough to rolling out thin crusts, topping, and baking pizzas to perfection.
Throughout the class, guests will enjoy plenty of fresh pizza samples baked right in The Nook ovens. You’ll also learn tips and techniques for recreating the experience at home.
Each attendee will leave with flour and yeast to make their own pizza dough at home, along with the confidence to start their own pizza night tradition.
