Krispy Brussel Sprouts by Chef Kris

  • 2 pounds Brussel Sprouts
  • 10 strips Butcher Shop Bacon
  • 1/3 cup Sliced Almonds
  • 1/3 cup Sliced Almonds
  • 1 ea Whole Lemon
  • 1 oz Balsamic Glaze


  1. Use a cast iron skillet or a heavy bottom pan. Cut bacon into bite sized pieces. Add to skillet.
  2. While bacon is cooking, cut ends off Brussels and cut in half long ways. Rinse and drain
  3. Cook bacon until well done and very crispy. Place on paper towels. Keep drippings in skillet and keep heat on medium-high
  4. Add dry Brussels to bacon grease. Cook on medium high for 8-10 minutes, or until Brussels become charred and crispy.
  5. Add cooked bacon bits, lemon zest and juice, cherries, almonds, salt and pepper to taste and then drizzle balsamic glaze.
  6. Serve hot, cold or at room temperature!
